The debut feature from Director Rob Brown, winner of Best Newcomer at Rushes Soho Shorts, BBC New Filmmakers Award and Time Out Award for Best London Film, and written by emerging talent Karen Steele.
Path of Needles follows the story of Rose trying to reconnect with her own life whilst becoming increasingly submerged in the distorted fairy tale world of her dead mother's writings. But when her Grandmother's new carer David appears on the scene, Rose is thrown into a sobering situation that she can't close the book on.
A teaser showcasing a taste of what to expect from the feature screened at the 2009 Thessaloniki International Film festival following a year of development through the EU Media Four Corners development scheme.

Alaula saw the sun only twice in her life; the first time she could not remember and had occurred just hours after she was born. Had she been able to remember, she might have heard the words ‘acute photosensitivity’, and recalled the intense light that had crept in through the hospital window and scarred the left side of her body. The second time, however, she would never forget.
